Chocolate Doughnuts 2 tbsp. shortening, melted Combine all ingredients except 1-½ cups flour in bowl, beating until smooth with mixer at low speed. Increase speed and beat for 1 minute longer. Stir in remaining flour to make soft dough. Chill for 1 hour. Roll out ½ inch thick on well floured surface. Cut with floured doughnut cutter. Deep fry at 370 degrees. Sprinkle with granulated or powdered sugar if desired. |
