Karen’s Pumpkin Bread

1-½ cup melted butter
3 cup sugar
5 eggs
2 cup mashed pumpkin
3-½ cup flour
1-½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
chopped nuts
4 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp. orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange rind

Cream 1 cup butter and sugar together in bowl. Beat in 4 eggs and pumpkin.

Sift next 5 ingredients into batter, mixing well. Add ¾ cup water, vanilla and nuts, mixing well.

Pour into 2 large loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Combine powdered sugar with remaining ½ cup butter, egg and orange juice and rind in bowl, mixing well. Spread over warm loaf.
