Karen's Refrigerator Rolls
1 pkg. yeast Dissolve yeast in ½ cup warm water. Stir shortening and sugar with 1-½ cups boiling water in large bowl; cool to lukewarm. Add salt, yeast, egg and 2 cups flour, mixing well. Stir in remaining flour to make soft dough. Place dough in oiled tightly covered bowl. Chill in refrigerator for 2 hours. Shape into rolls, placing in greased pan. Let rise until doubled in bulk. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. **Dough will keep in refrigerator for 1 week. |
