Round Steak Italiano 2 pound beef round steak, cut 3/4 inch thick Cut steak into 8 pieces; pound to 1/2 inch thickness. In skillet brown steaks in hot oil. Remove steaks. In same skillet brown the sausage, breaking into small pieces; drain. Add tomato sauce, apple juice, onion, garlic salt, oregano, and pepper. Return steaks to skillet. Reduce heat; cover and simmer about 50 minutes. Skim fat. Remove steaks to platter; pour sauce over. Serve with noodles; pass parmesan. |
