Sweet-and-Sour Red Cabbage Serves 6 Ingredients: 1/4 cup Butter Melt butter in 4-quart Dutch oven. Add apples and onions, saute slightly. Add finely shredded cabbage, red wine, cloves, sugar, and bay leaves. Simmer, covered, for 1 hour at 350-F degrees then add the vinegar and lemon juice. Return to the oven for another 30-minutes. Melt additional 1/4 cup butter and pour over finished dish, serve immediately. |
